Aanchal is a researcher-artist-architect based in London, where she is completing her Masters from The Bartlett School of Architecture. In 2022 she joined The New Centre's Certificate Program on Post-Planetary Universal Design as a Full Scholarship recipient. Previously, she was working as an Exhibition Designer and Art Manager with What About Art and collaborated with Rahul Mehrotra, Kaiwan Mehta (architects); Ranjit Hoskote, Nancy Adajania (curators); Bose Krishnamachari, Jitish Kallat and Gigi Scaria (artists); Samdani Art Foundation, Jamshyd & Pheroza Godrej Collection, Kochi Biennial Foundation and Soho House (organisations and collections). After studying Architecture, Aanchal completed a course in Exhibition Design from NODE Centre for Curatorial Studies, Berlin, and went on to work as an Art Mediator at the 2018 Kochi-Muziris Biennale. Her research interests are shaped by these interactions and a long standing curiosity for new media, technology and complexities of cultural coexistence. Love for films led Aanchal to conduct workshops and curate film screenings across Bombay. She is also working with Chandraangan (@chandraangan) to nominate young South-Asian artists for fully-funded residencies. She can now be found talking about art, films and One Piece, to anyone that will listen.
