Lindsay Lerman is an interdisciplinary writer and translator with a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. Her first novel, I'm From Nowhere, was published in 2019. Her second book, a hybrid work of philosophical fiction titled What Are You, was published in 2022. Her doctoral research (on nonknowledge and spirituality, and on nonknowledge and children's literature) is published in edited volumes. Her first translation—of François Laruelle's Phenomenon and Difference—will be published in spring 2023. Her essays, short stories, and poems have been published in Los Angeles Review of Books, Entropy, New York Tyrant, and elsewhere. She is currently a Posthuman Art Fellow at Foreign Objekt, where she is researching nonknowledge, posthumanism, and intimacy, in preparation for her next book.
