María Jesús Maury (Lima, Perú, 1997) (They/Them) is a non-binary artist and researcher with a BA in Performing Arts at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and a Certificate Student at the Arts & Curatorial Practice Program of The New Centre for Research & Practice. Their work explores immersive design strategies that highlight collective bonds through different scales, having resonance as their central axis. They have participated in projects that involve theatre, mixed music ensembles, sound installation, webVR, and film.
They is part of the Comunidad Peruana de Música Nueva (Peru), where they promote the creation, production, and dissemination of current and emergent sound expressions in Peru. They also is part of the Group of Research in Arts and New Media (GIAMD, Peru) of PUCP, experimenting with scenic immersive and interactive experiences in XR.
