Kerstin Fuchs is an artist with a background in continental and feminist philosophy, and ethics. She studied music, Freie Kunst (post-studio Art) and Philosophy at the University of the Arts Berlin, TU Berlin and TU Dresden, Germany.

Drawing from a large variety of resources in feminist philosophy and the cultural production of women throughout history, she is interested in the possible openings in the discourse around gender, questioning relationships and their reciprocal recognition, as well as exploring its rhetorics. She believes a shift in the conversation around destabilizing gender is needed, expanding it from a debate predominantly about woman to a debate including the historically unassailable figure of the thinking man. This she views as part of a larger project of emancipation in general.

She has exhibited, performed and lectured throughout Europe and the United States.
